Remember that amazing Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig Lifetime movie that was announced on Wednesday? Well, forget it, because the stars have decided to scrap the project because the news leaked online.

"We are deeply disappointed that our planned top secret project was made public," Ferrell said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. "Kristen and I have decided it is in the best interest for everyone to forego the project entirely, and we thank Lifetime and all the people who were ready to help us make this film."

The film, titled A Deadly Adoption, was set to be a pseudo-parody of typical Lifetime movies and feature Wiig and Ferrell as a wealthy couple who house a pregnant woman (Jessica Lowndes) with the hopes of adopting her child.

The project has reportedly already been filmed so it's possible Lifetime will decide to go against Ferrell and Wiig's wishes and air the movie anyways. "The only leverage Ferrell has is Lifetime not wanting to piss him off," a source told the magazine. "But what difference does it make if they piss off Ferrell? He will never work again with Lifetime."
