What's the Arrested Development connection?

Netflix really, really loves Will Arnett.

The BoJack Horseman and Arrested Development actor will star in another original series for the streaming service, Netflix announced Monday.

Set in the picturesque but totally odd city of Venice, Calif., Flaked is the story of Chip, a self-appointed "guru" (Arnett), who falls for the object of his best friend's affection. As his lies catch up with him, Chip will have to deal with the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullsh-- he's been spewing to keep up his all-important image. Eight episodes will premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2016.

More must-watch new winter shows

"We are thrilled to be the home of Will Arnett's next series, and look forward to Chip joining his repertoire alongside such diverse and inspirational characters such as Gob, Bojack, and Batman, " said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix.

The series was co-created and co-written by Arnett and Mark Chappell (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret).

"We're very excited to partner with Netflix--the home of original, original content--and the network I knew would be the ideal home for this passion project," Arnett said in a statement.

Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz is on board as an executive producer, which means it's probably safe to say we won't be seeing the Bluth family return for more hijinks for a while.
