Greek alum Andrew J. West is joining The Walking Dead in what could become a series regular role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Few details are known about West's character, Gareth, other than that he will have a major role on the show during the second half of Season 4, and there is an option for him to be promoted to a series regular next season.
Unlike fellow recent cast additions Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt and Christian Serratos, West's character is not based on a specific character from the comic books.
Since recurring on Greek as Fisher, West has guest-starred on CSI, Castle and Suburgatory, among others.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9/8c on AMC.
