Vanessa Hudgens is on a roll. Following for her turn in Fox's in Grease: Liveshe's been tapped to star in the NBC pilot, Powerless, a workplace comedy that takes place in the DC Comics universe.
The Hollywood Reporter says Hudgens will play Emily Locke, an insurance claims adjuster who toils at one of the worst insurance companies in America - and is increasingly worm out by the antics of the superheroes in the city.

Should Powerless become a series, it would mark a lot of firsts: it would be DC's first foray into half-hour comedy format, Hudgens' first ongoing TV role and the first superhero series for NBC. Ben Queen (A to Z ) is writing the script and will serve as executive producer alongside Michael Patrick Jann, (Reno 911!). Jann will also direct.
