Vampire Diaries' Paul Wesley: Stefan Finally Has a Girl Who's All In

See what Candice Accola says about the relationship

If anyone knows about being on the "losing" end of love triangles, it's The Vampire Diaries' Stefan Salvatore. But with a relationship with Caroline on the horizon, star Paul Wesley says it's about time Stefan had a girl who wasn't conflicted about him.

"It's nice he has a girl who reciprocates," Wesley says in the video above. "Not that Elena didn't reciprocate, but I felt like Elena was constantly torn between the two brothers. It's nice to be with a woman who's not torn about being with you! She's all about [him]."

Still, Candice Accola warns the Steroline romance won't be without its problems (could it have something to do with this?), but she does add that they'll get through it.

"Fans of the couple shouldn't expect this perfect romance, but what the characters feel for each other is very perfect," she says. "So, if the situations aren't perfect, the intentions are still really good, so that's what they're fighting for through the chaos and the demise of Mystic Falls."

The Vampire Diaries premieres on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c on The CW.
