Watch the surprise-released season now
UnREAL and Hulu pulled a Beyoncé and Jay Z, with the full fourth and final season of the reality TV drama dropping in full on the streaming service Monday. Prior to Monday, Hulu hadn't even announced a premiere date.
The surprise release comes less than three months after the Season 3 finale, though production on Season 4 was completed before Season 3 aired. The series moved to Hulu after airing its first three seasons on Lifetime, largely because UnREAL earned low ratings as a linear program but performs much better as a bingeable streaming series. According to Hulu, UnREAL viewers typically watch 3-4 episodes in one session and finish full seasons in a few days. Hulu typically releases shows weekly, so they're really encouraging you to binge this one.
It was also previously only rumored, not confirmed, that Season 4 would be UnREAL's last. But that's now official. Season 4 follows Rachel (Shiri Appleby) and Quinn (Constance Zimmer) as they return to the set of Bachelor-esque reality show Everlasting for an "All-Stars" season, with former contestants like Season 3's August (Adam Demos) and Alexi (Adam Sparrow) returning to take part in a new competition format. Star Shiri Appleby directed the series finale.
Here's what's coming to Hulu in July
All eight episodes of UnREAL Season 4 are now streaming on Hulu, as are the previous seasons.
