Elisabeth Hasselbeck: "I actually support gay marriage"
View creators and executive producers Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie are developing a unisex spinoff of the women's daytime talk show that would include a male perspective on daily topics, a source told theNew York Daily News.
If ordered to series, the show would likely be produced in Los Angeles — as opposed The View's setting of New York — and air in an afternoon timeslot so as not to compete with its predecessor, according to the source.
Walters and Geddie's panel wish list, according to the source, includes Today's Bryant Gumbel and comedian Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty) for the guys, and BET news anchor Jacque Reid and former Fox News host E.D. Hill for the ladies.
An ABC rep declined to comment.
