In its second week of release, Puss in Boots grossed an estimated $33.04 million. The Shrekspin-off easily beat Tower Heist which opened to $25.1 million to take second place. The third Harold & Kumar film followed at No. 3 with $13.07 million.
Box office: Puss in Boots claws its way to the top
Even after Halloween, Paranormal Activity 3 still drummed up $8.53 million to finish fourth. In Timecompleted the top 5 with $7.7 million.
At No. 6, Footloose drew $4.55 million. Real Steel took seventh place with $3.4 million.
Rounding out the top 10: The Rum Diary (No. 8, $2.99 million), The Ides of March (No. 9, $2 million) and Moneyball (No. 10, $1.9 million).
