Reignstar Torrance Coombs will join Shonda Rhimes' potential Romeo and Juliet inspired drama Still Star-Crossed, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He will play Count Paris, who in Shakespeare's classic tale was Juliet's suitor before Romeo. He will reportedly play the series' main villain.

The CW announces Spring finale dates

However, even if the Still Star-Crossed pilot hasn't officially been picked up for series, it does mean that Coombs won't continue as a series regular on his CW royal drama. Coombs was mum about the specifics of his character Bash's exit from the series, but tweeted his gratitude for the fan support.

"Thank you for all the kind words. Tough to comment on specifics, but I don't think we've seen the last of Bash on #Reign," he wrote. Coombs will also be joining actor Wadge Briggs on the Shondaland pilot. Briggs will play Benvolio, Romeo's cousin who was instrumental in getting the young lover out of the city when he was banished from Verona.
