One of college football's most venerable bowl games finds a new home this year, leaving its namesake stadium in Dallas for spanking new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Helping to make for a smooth transition, the Mississippi Rebels, one of last year's teams, are back, this year taking on the Cowboys of Oklahoma State. Both teams are strong on the ground, with Dexter McCluster the top weapon for Ole Miss, and Keith Toston the line mover for OSU. — Dave Roeder

The British put their own spin on Buffy the Vampire Slayer in this clever horror series about a teenage slacker who learns that he's the last descendant of Abraham Van Helsing, the legendary vampire hunter from Bram Stoker's (apparently not quite fictional) Dracula. In the series premiere, Luke Rutherford (Christian Cooke) meets his long-estranged godfather Rupert Galvin (Philip Glenister), another warrior of the night, and faces his first challenge when he must rescue his gal pal from a demonic bounty hunter. — Jack Rodgers
