It's a twin bill of Bill: Two back-to-back episodes mark the Season 3 finale of Bill Engvall's homespun sitcom. In the first outing, oldest son Trent revs up to buy a car, but Bill stalls out in his effort to steer him to the perfect vehicle. USOC Hall of Fame Show
2/1c NBC
Former U.S. gold medal winners get another moment in the spotlight as the USOC Hall of Fame inducts its class of 2009 in Chicago. In addition to honoring such Olympic greats as basketball's 1992 Dream Team, sprinter Michael Johnson and skier Picabo Street, the event also serves as a commercial of sorts for the Windy City, one of three finalists waiting for an Oct. 2 decision on the site of the 2016 Olympic Games. — Dave Roeder
College Football
8:07/7:07c ABC
The Saturday-night season opens with a matchup of national powers Alabama and Virginia Tech in Atlanta. The Tide return eight starters from a defense that was superb last season... until the last two games, when they were rolled by Florida and Utah. The Hokies are a defensive power as well, but lost star RB Darren Evans to a knee injury, and face Nebraska and Miami in addition to today's bout with the Tide. — Dave Roeder
Alice
11/10c HBO Signature
Although known for such trendsetters as The Sopranos and True Blood, HBO proves its eye for talent is not limited to these shores with this Brazilian series about a bright young woman getting a taste of big-city life. Analogies with Lewis Carroll's literary heroine are not out of bounds (tonight's premiere episode is called "Falling Down the Rabbit Hole"), as Alice (Andreia Horta) leaves her small town for a wonderland of opportunities in São Paulo after learning of her estranged father's death. — Joe Friedrich
Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps
10 a.m./9c PBS
As Angelina herself might say, "Ta da!" The family favorite about the ballet-loving mouse pirouettes into an all-new CGI look. The grand jeté also ushers forth a new story line for the diminutive rodent, as her family has moved to the other side of Chipping Cheddar, leaving all of her friends behind, and she's starting a new school, the prestigious Camembert Academy. — Jeff Gemmill
