10 Things I Hate About You
8 pm/ET ABC Family
This new teen comedy is based on the 1999 film of the same name (which was already an adapted work, loosely based on Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew). Larry Miller is back as overprotective dad Walter Stratford, and he's surrounded by a new crop of kids, including Ethan Peck (grandson of Gregory Peck), who takes on the role of Patrick (played by Heath Ledger in the film). In the opener, Walter's two very different daughters — feminist Kat and social climber Bianca — begin life at a new high school. — Jennifer Sankowski
Great American Road Trip
8 pm/ET NBC
Get your kicks on Route 66. Reno Collier hosts this nation-spanning reality travelogue in which seven disparate families snake along iconic Route 66 and square off in a series of wacky challenges set against landmarks of Americana, such as the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam. Tonight's series opener introduces the competing clans, who begin at Chicago's venerable Wrigley Field — where they'll likely be thrown a curve. — Dean Maurer
Warehouse 13
9 pm/ET SyFy
Some warehouse jobs can be pretty predictable gigs — shipping, receiving, order-picking, etc. — but most warehouses aren't stocked with items that can take on a life of their own. Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly play secret service agents who find themselves transferred to an unusual facility after a crazy night at a museum in the sci-fi comedy-drama's debut. Saul Rubinek is cast as the building's quirky caretaker. — Michael Chant
Saving Grace
10 pm/ET TNT
The crime show's angel angle turns a bit more complicated tonight with F. Murray Abraham in the wings. The Oscar winner (for 1984's Amadeus) flies high in a guest-star role as Matthew, a downcast angel who's slumping in his effort to win souls. As a result, he begins honing in on fellow angel Earl's territory and tempts Grace with an intriguing offer. Meanwhile, it's not OK for these Okie folks: A series of home invasions is turning more and more brutal, creating a formidable case for Grace and her team. — Dean Maurer
That's Impossible
10 pm/ET History
Contrary to the title, this new series mixing science, history and imagination, sets out to prove otherwise. Some of man's wildest dreams and the technology that could make them come true are examined, along with stories and inventions from the past. The opener explores the possibility of invisibility. Segments include a supposed invisible battle tank and — with a nod to Harry Potter — an invisibility cloak. — Bill Ecklund

Michael Jackson Memorial
1 pm/ET Various Outlets
Since his death on June 25, Michael Jackson has been equated to Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Frank Sinatra for his impact on music and the wider pop culture. Today that impact will be in evidence as the memorial at the Staples Center in L.A. will be covered by ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, the cable-news nets, E!, MTV and assorted other channels. The service is expected to feature performances by some of the top artists of today and yesteryear. — Jeff Gemmill
