The Shield
10 pm/ET FX
Whither Vic? That was some confession last week. Absolution is another matter of course, and we'll see tonight whether he'll get it as The Shield turns in its badge after seven seasons. Will there be a Vic-Shane showdown? What about Beltran's drug shipment? And how will Vic's decision to favor Corinne (who has been stabbing him in the back) over the loyal Ronnie play out? We're looking for a final resolution, but the episode's title is "Family Meeting" — and isn't that how The Sopranos ended? — Paul Droesch

House
8 pm/ET Fox
It can be an occupational hazard for leading characters in TV shows to have guns pointed at them during sweeps months, and House, as you might recall, was actually shot in May 2006. Tonight he's being held hostage by a gun-wielding guy (Zeljko Ivanek) who's at his wits' end because 16 doctors haven't been able to figure out what's ailing him. Thirteen is also being held hostage, and her Huntington's disease figures prominently in the story. — Paul Droesch

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
8 pm/ET ABC
Now this is something to be grateful for. Chuck, Peppermint Patty and the rest of the Peanuts gang gather for their 1973 feast of popcorn, sundaes and stacks of toast. It may not be the tastiest spread, but what do you expect when a beagle's doing the cooking? We're also thankful tonight for the extra helping of Peanuts airing in this hour: It's the bonus cartoon "This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers."

Dancing With the Stars
9 pm/ET ABC
Tonight we finally find out who succeeds Kristi Yamaguchi to become the next celebrity ballroom champion. The seventh season started with 13 contestants, and now only three are in contention for the trophy: Brooke Burke, Lance Bass and Warren Sapp. But before we get down to the big moment, Miley Cyrus is on hand to sing a selection from her latest album. — Jennifer Sankowski

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
10 pm/ET NBC
Benson often gets emotionally involved in her work, and that's true tonight when she covers a domestic-violence case. Even after the battered woman (Clea DuVall) drops all charges against her husband, Benson perseveres and hides in a stairway to try to protect her. While hiding, Benson comes across another crime: a 34-year old unsolved murder case. Mike Farrell and Brenda Blethyn guest star. — Jennifer Sankowski
