TNT is ready to "rock" its lineup. The cable network has ordered a new reality competition series starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Deadline reports.

The eight-episode series, tentatively titled The Hero, will bring 10 people together in a house and assign them various missions to test their brains, brawn and morality. The show will see just how far contestants are willing to go for the sake of their fellow contestants and prove they have what it takes to be heroes. In the end, one player will be named a true hero.

Johnson, 40, will serve as a mentor and motivator. "The Hero speaks to everything I believe in when it comes to challenging ourselves, to becoming better people every day and to making the right choices while growing from the wrong ones," he said.

As part of the show's social media integration, viewers will be able to vote each week on which contestant they think is the most heroic. "The Hero is a great fit for TNT's drama fans, whether they enjoy stories with a lot of action, suspense and danger, or stories that offer inspiration through the heroic actions of everyday people," TNT's head of programming Michael Wright said.

The Hero was created by Craig Armstrong, Rick Ringbakk, Charles Wachter and Ben Silverman. It will debut next summer on TNT.
