Though Season 2 of Timeless has jumped right back to to the series' swashbuckling historical adventures, things aren't all right with everyone. Jiya (Claudia Doumit) continues to feel the side effects of time travel after breaking the Lifeboat's rule about a three-person maximum capacity, and is now prone to seizures and -- more interestingly -- freaky visions of the past and future.

In the Season 1 finale, Jiya was parked in a hospital room with a sweet view of the Golden Gate Bridge and had a vision of the past as the bridge was being built. In Season 2, a vision hit closer to home: She saw burn marks on Rufus' (Malcolm Barrett) arm before he actually got burnt on a trip to the past! What gives here?

"She has visions in the past that haven't happened yet, so who's to say that our characters don't end up in some future point at that Golden Gate Bridge moment," creator Eric Kripke tells TV Guide. "Just because she's seeing it in the past, doesn't mean that it's already happened."

Timeless: In Season 2, the Villains Get Their Due

Whaaaaaaaa? Kripke seems to hint that Jiya's seeing a true future regardless of the time period; i.e. the past Golden Gate Bridge moment was a vision of the future when the team goes to the past, and not just the past past that has already happened. Yeah, confusing. But there's a reason for that.

"She seems to be latching into elements of Rufus, and she seems to be able to see things he's going to do that he hasn't done yet in the past," Kripke tries to explain while our minds melt. "Anyone who knows Supernatural knows how obsessed I am with issues of fate and destiny, and can you avoid what seems like it's going to be. This was a way that we can continue to play with that. When she sees Rufus do something, can he avoid it? Does he have the free will to avoid it?"
