Christmas just came early, Clockblockers! Not literally, obviously, just... ugh, time travel. Look, the timeline for the two-part series finale for the twice-resurrected Timeless is getting a little bit clearer!

In a series of tweets Thursday, the Timeless writers revealed that the two-hour wrap-up movie would go into production in October with an airdate set for sometime in December.

".@NBC and @SPTV have approved stories for 2 Hour Event @NBCTimeless finale to air in December," they wrote. "We can't wait to take all you #ClockBlockers on this incredible journey. We're getting to make these two hours because of you. Thanks!"

Truly, it's due to the fans' fervent support of the show and non-stop efforts to revive it that Timeless got this final chapter. Fans even flew a helicopter over San Diego Comic-Con asking NBC to #SaveTimeless. Thankfully, their voices were heard.

"While we wish we could've made another dozen seasons of Timeless, this is the next best thing," co-creators Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke said in a statement earlier this month. "We're thrilled to take the Lifeboat out for one last spin and bring closure to our story. The studio, network, cast and crew are all doing this for one reason only: the fans. Because they deserve it. Because the fans made this happen and we thank them for their passion, support and helicopters."

The entire cast has signed on to return for the two-part finale, which is a good thing considering Season 2 left us on a cliffhanger that took Lucy (Abigail Spencer) and Wyatt (Matt Lanter) back through time in an effort to undo Rufus' (Malcolm Barrett) tragic death.
