Clockblockers, you did it!

The story of Timeless has had more twists than an episode of Timeless. It's been canceled, then revived, then canceled again, then fans flew a helicopter over Comic-Con asking NBC to #SaveTimeless and now, improbably, it's been uncanceled AGAIN to wrap the story up for good.

NBC and Sony Pictures Television announced Tuesday that Timeless will return for a two-part series finale this holiday season.

"While we wish we could've made another dozen seasons of Timeless, this is the next best thing," co-creators Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke said in a statement. "We're thrilled to take the Lifeboat out for one last spin and bring closure to our story. The studio, network, cast and crew are all doing this for one reason only: the fans. Because they deserve it. Because the fans made this happen and we thank them for their passion, support and helicopters."

The statement concludes: "So? You guys want to get Rufus back or what?"

The Season 2 finale ended on a cliffhanger with Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Lucy (Abigail Spencer) traveling through time to somehow undo Rufus' (Malcolm Barrett) death.

The cast and crew had delightful reactions to the revival on social media because how often does your show get un-canceled twice?
