What's next: "Eddie and Joy are feeling bad about themselves," says cocreator Josh Goldsmith. "They don't do much to give back to society, so Eddie decides to join the Big Brothers program." But when his little brother turns out to be a middle-aged man ( Curb Your Enthusiasm's J.B. Smoove) who's been waiting to be matched with a big brother for 20 years, Eddie is undeterred, and makes his "little" brother his new best friend. Meet the parents: When Eddie's parents (Valerie Harper and Jerry Adler) announce they are divorcing, Eddie acts like a child from a broken home, even though the divorce is merely a tactic to try to lower the couple's health insurance costs. "Eddie and Joy end up learning the lesson that marriage is just a piece of paper, and that it's the moments of love and romance that really count," Goldsmith says.
