A Three's Company Movie is in the Works – But Who Should Star?

And we already have some casting suggestions

Three's Company might be taking its wacky high jinks to the big-screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Line is negotiating the rights to the late '70s series, and eying He's Just Not That Into's Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein to pen the script.

Three's Company starred John Ritter as Jack Tripper, a clumsy culinary student and ladies man, who moved in with no-nonsense Janet (Joyce DeWitt) and ditzy Chrissy (Suzanne Somers). But in order to appease the women's landlord Mr. Roper (Norman Fell), the trio had to pretend that Jack was gay. Hilarity ensued. Silly misunderstandings grew out of hand. History was made.

The show ran on ABC from 1977 to 1984, and eventually spawned a (failed) spin-off, The Ropers.

15 shows we want to bring back

But now it seems Three's Company is coming back! The potential movie adaptation would still be set in the '70s, thankfully, making the show's out-dated premise a bit easier to swallow. The question then becomes: Who should star?

Would you want to see Jason Ritter stepping into his late father's role as Jack? Or possibly Dave Franco taking the lead? What about Emma Stone, Krysten Ritter or Amber Stevens West for Janet? Will a Hadid sister make her acting debut as Chrissy? Or will Selena Gomez swoop in for the part?
