[Warning: This article contains major spoilers about the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. Read at your own risk!]

Unlike fans' responses to the Season 6 finale, reaction to The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere was mostly positive, if severely bummed out. Fans were traumatized and upset, but they weren't mad at Scott Gimple & Co. for killing off Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz).

The season premiere resolved the Season 6 finale cliff-hanger of whom savage new villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed with his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat. The answer, as TVGuide.com predicted, was both Glenn and Abraham.

Their deaths were some of the goriest scenes ever shown on basic cable, with Glenn and Abraham's heads reduced to hamburger meat by the end. It was stomach-turning and heartbreaking, and fans reacted by shedding millions of digital tears.

Check out some of the best reactions below.
