Shots Fired! The Walking Dead Promos Slam Winter Olympics

Every four years, the world turns it eyes to some snowy terrain or another to watch a bunch of sports that frankly... they just really don't care about. And AMC knows it.

In preparation for The Walking Dead's midseason premiere later this month, AMC pre-released a trio of pretty snarky promos (courtesy of Mashable and set to air later this week), taking a few easy shots at the 2018 Winter Olympics. From the complicated scoring methods of figure skating to the endless types of skiing events, AMC was pulling no punches when it said how much people don't actually care about the Winter Olympics.

Audiences may tune in to the winter games in huge enough droves to make every other network halt their programming for three weeks, but if the figure skating finals were ever put up against The Walking Dead midseason premiere... we'd honestly be unsure which show would win that face off. Luckily, we'll never have to decide, since regardless of these pithy ads, The Walking Dead won't return until after the Winter Olympics shuts its doors for another four years.

The Walking Dead returns Feb. 25 at 9/8c on AMC.
