The Voice's third week of live playoffs came down to Darby Walker and Aaron Gibson in risk of being eliminated, and in the end America chose to keep Team Miley's Aaron.
As we predicted, Aaron would be on the bottom; he's been a bit monotonous in the past, and this wasn't his first time on the bottom. But to our pleasant surprise, he turned things around with a splendid rendition of "Budapest," sounding like a new man -- or at least, a man with a broadened range. Darby, whose free-spirited vibe and Coachella-meets-Woodstock duds sometimes overshadowed the fact that she was up there to sing, stumbled with "Your Song." She wailed with all the petal-power and flower-child spirit she could muster, but it wasn't her best. Pitchy and a little all over the place, she said her farewell Tuesday. And with that, there were 10!
