We Finally Know When The Venture Bros. Will Return

At long last, we finally know when The Venture Bros. is returning for Season 7.

Adult Swim revealed, via their official Instagram account, that the new season will arrive on Sunday, August 5. This is great news for fans who haven't seen new episodes since March 2016. However, the lengthy wait is business as usual for longtime viewers since new seasons usually take about two or three years to arrive.

The story follows fraternal twin brothers who often find themselves in dangerous situations. They've been killed numerous times and replaced with clones who have no memories of the previous deaths. The series features characters loosely based off of heroes and villains from the classic animated series Johnny Quest, as well as various comic book figures.

The series was created by Christopher McCulloch, the same man behind the '90s live-action series The Tick(which was rebooted by Amazon in 2016 with no involvement from McCulloch), and features the voice of Tick alum Patrick Warburton as Brock Samson, the Venture family's bodyguard. The show has built up a massive cult following for its dark humor and witty pop culture references.

Season 7 of The Venture Bros. heads to Adult Swim on Friday, Aug. 5.
