Shooting a sex scene is always a bit strange, but things got particularly awkward one day onThe Vampire Diariesset.
"It was a scene where Stefan [Paul Wesley] was in bed and his sheet was pulled way up over his nakedness," showrunner Julie Plec explains in the video above. "The way that it was framed, it looked like his foot was in his nether region, meaning that he was having a miraculously good morning."
"I didn't notice at the time and I heard all this laughter off set," Wesley recalls. "My right toe was perfectly placed in a position that looked compromising."
"Twist in the story," Wesley adds, "it wasn't my foot."
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.
