The Magicianshas always specialized in absurd musical numbers, but this week the show will go for an entire episode in a musical format. According to showrunners Sera Gamble and John McNamara, one character is about to blow the roof off.

"You'll hear actors singing that you haven't heard singing before, and some of them are so f---ing good that you're kind of like, 'Oh, so you decided to be an actor and you could just as easily be singing professionally full-time right this moment,'" executive producer Sera Gamble teases.

"I picked songs that were really hard for the singers that were really good," McNamara adds. "Nobody got to skate. Everybody was terrified the first day of rehearsal. Everybody except for one person. One person had unlimited confidence, and it turns out for a very good reason."

Having seen this musical episode already, TV Guide can assure you, that person is definitely going to leave your jaw on the floor. Watch out for his or her show-stopping solo because it's one scene you're going to want to watch over and over and over again.

The Magicians airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Syfy.
