Is this what freedom looks like?

That's the question Offred, a.k.a. June (Elisabeth Moss), raises in a thrilling new look at Season 2 of The Handmaid's Tale. And while it looks like she's on the path to freedom, the rogue handmaid isn't so sure she'll ever be able to escape Gilead completely.

"What will happen when I get out?" she asks in the video. "There probably is no out. Gilead is within you."

When the dystopian drama returns on Wednesday, April 25, Offred will continually fight for her freedom while also searching for her long-lost daughter. Things will be even more complicated now that she's pregnant and a target for retribution from the Eyes after leading a mini revolt against Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) in the Season 1 final.

The Handmaid's Tale Mega Buzz: A "Cruel" Character Means Trouble for Emily

The new season will also take the show to the Colonies, the toxic wasteland where infertile and lower-class women are sent and worked to death. That's where we'll find Emily (Alexis Bledel) again after she stole a car and ran over an Eye with it. We'll follow her difficult journey to the barren land in Season 2 while also learning more about her backstory.

Season 2 of The Handmaid's Tale heads to Hulu on Wednesday, April 25.
