The Flash to Cross Over with Supergirl

Find out when Barry Allen is heading to National City

Barry Allen will be dropping by National City next month. The Flash and Supergirlare teaming up for a crossover episode on Monday, March 28, CBS announced Wednesday.

Grant Gustin, who plays The Flash, will appear onSupergirlalongside stars Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh, Mechad Brooks and Jeremy Jordan.

"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl - The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!" The Flash and Supergirl executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement. "We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally, thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support."

The Flash: A quick guide to DC Universe speedsters

The special episode will be the first crossover for Supergirl, but not for The Flash. The CW drama, which began as an Arrow spin-off, has been involved in multiple crossovers with Arrow, and has seen some of its characters spin-off to star in the new CW superhero drama Legends of Tomorrow.

The Flash and Supergirl crossover airs Monday, March 28 at 8/7c on CBS.
