Barry and Iris Grieve for Nora in the First The Flash Season 6 Photos

We've still got over a month until The Flash returns for Season 6, but the first photos from the premiere have officially dropped, which means at least we get to see Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) smiling face again!

Given that he and Iris (Candice Patton) have just lost Nora, it's a little surprising that Barry could be in such good spirits, but nevertheless, the first photo of the Oct. 8 premiere, "Into the Void," shows Barry looking upbeat and happy. Nothing can keep this guy down! Other team members? Not so much.

Another photo of Barry and Iris puts them in the time vault, most likely directly after listening to Nora's (Jessica Parker Kennedy) goodbye message since we know Season 6 will pick up about 10 seconds after the Season 5 finale ended. Iris, for one, looks crestfallen and shocked, which is understandable since she'd worked hard to develop a bond with her daughter only to lose her shortly thereafter. Hopefully she can throw herself into work at The Central City Citizen to help her move past her grief.

As for Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), they're not looking too happy either in their solo shots inside Star Labs. Is this dynamic duo rethinking Cisco's choice to take the meta-human cure and rid himself of his powers forever?

The one person mysteriously absent from these photos is Tom Cavanagh, who will be taking on an all-new version Harrison Wells this season, which he's only described as "sensual." No doubt hilarity will ensue whenever this new character shows up to join Team Flash.

Another character we're eager to get our first look at is this season's new villain, Bloodwork, played by Heroesalum Sendhil Ramamurthy. As a former colleague of Caitlin's (Danielle Panabaker), you can probably bet some of his first scenes this year will be with her.

The Flash Season 6 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c on The CW.
