Two big bads!

The Flashwriters Aaron and Todd Helbing spilled some secrets about Season 3 at Comic-Con Saturday -- announcing two big bads and details on the much anticipated "Flashpoint" storyline episode, which brings about an entirely new take on the CW/DC universe.

Catch up on all the latest news from Comic-Con

The new timeline, which picks up three months after last season's finale, finds Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) living with both of his parents. He'll be a stranger to Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin); we'll see Reverse-Flash/Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) being held in a cage.

From the sound of it, the Flashpoint storyline will continue having ramifications well past the premiere.

"This is something that is going to ripple throughout the whole season," Todd said. "Obviously Barry grew up with a different family. His parents were still alive, Cisco has gone on to make some money. One of the effects is [Arrow's] Diggle himself. You'll have to tune in to see exactly how."

This season will also bring about new villains -- two, in fact.

"We're doing a really cool thing this year," said Todd. "We're doing two big bads. One is a speedster that we'll reveal later and the other, the one in the creepy mask, is Doctor Alchemy." He'll be voiced by Tobin Bell, the human behind Jigsaw in the Saw films.

The Flash Season 3 begins Tuesday, October 4 at 8/7c on The CW.
