It's been a long hiatus for The Flash, but The CW is making it up to us with the most exciting news ever: Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) is officially suiting up!
In Episode 16, airing on March 13, Barry (Grant Gustin) will face a new bus meta named Matthew a.k.a Melting Pot (Leonardo Nam), who has the ability to swap people's DNA. During a confrontation with Team Flash, Melting Pot transfers Barry's powers of super speed to Iris, leaving the whole team in a lurch. Can Iris figure out how to master Barry's speed and take down Matthew before it's too late?
Iris isn't the only one taking on a new role though, since Barry will have to step in as team leader and watch from the sidelines as Iris kicks some serious villain butt. How many WestAllen fans think he's going to take it well, having to sit and watch Iris throw herself headfirst into danger?

After years of watching Iris save the day from behind the scenes, we're more excited than ever to watch her pick up the mantle of Central City's savior, if only because it means we get to see her in a super suit!
