We're getting a new addition to the royal family in The Crown's third season. Actress Erin Doherty has been cast to play the older version of Princess Anne, according toThe Hollywood Reporter.

Princess Anne is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, who we've so far only seen as a child. Season 3 will have moved forward enough in time that Princess Anne will have aged out of childhood and into adulthood. Not much is known yet about Anne's role in Season 3, but one can only hope The Crown plans to include the story of Princess Anne's failed kidnapping and her iconic, "Not bloody likely!" response to her kidnapper in the next installment of the critically acclaimed Netflix drama.

Erin Doherty's previous credits include Call the Midwifeand BBC's Les Misérables mini-series, but she is still a relatively new name on the TV scene. We're excited to see what she can do with this new, more mature version of Princess Anne.

Other new additions to the cast for Season 3 include Olivia Colman as the new Queen Elizabeth, Tobias Menzies as the new PrincesPhilip and Helena Bonham Carter as the new Princess Margaret. Jason Watkins and Ben Daniels have also been cast to play Harold Wilson and Anthony Armstrong-Jones, respectively.

The Crown Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
