How is the show going to tee up Redemption?
We're barely a week into Season 4 of The Blacklist, but the show is barreling towards an end point of sorts -- or at least a major turning point. Early next year, the spin-off The Blacklist: Redemption is scheduled to premiere, and will focus on Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) being recruited to work for a black ops spy agency.
So, for those of you keeping track at home, something is going to happen in the next 10(?) or so episodes that's going to bring us from Point A to Point B and pull Tom away from Liz (Megan Boone) and Agnes (assuming he eventually reunites with them, which is up in the air after the Season 4 premiere). What could it be?
For now, not even Eggold and the creators know. Executive producer Jon Bokenkamp recently told TVGuide.com that those episodes haven't been written yet, but that Tom will have to make an "emotional decision ... that's going to take him off and send him into that other world."
