Paul Wesley plays a man who is no prince
Your favorite fairy tale princesses are in for some dark, dark days ahead when CBS All Access' Tell Me a Story returns for Season 2. The first trailer for the next installment of the anthology series has finally been revealed, and it looks like this round will put the "grim" in Grimm's Fairy Tales once again.
Tell Me A Story's Paul Wesley and Danielle Campbell Tease 'Extreme' Season 2 Fairy Tales
This season -- which will offer modern, disturbing takes on Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty -- introduces audiences to the Pruitt family in Nashville as they navigate love, loss, and terror throughout the psychological thriller's 10 new episodes.
As the trailer shows, Season 2 will feature Paul Wesley as the struggling and sleepless author Tucker Reed, who promises that his story will be a love story -- only, a tragic one. Natalie Alyn Lind plays Ashley Rose Pruitt, a successful singer who has to come to grips with her image -- and possibly even her voice -- being forever changed by an explosion.
The new season also stars Carrie-Anne Moss as Rebecca Pruitt, Odette Annable as Maddie Pruitt, Eka Darville as Beau Morris, Matt Lauria as Jackson Pruitt, Ashley Madekwe as Simone Garland, Danielle Campbell as Olivia Moon, Garcelle Beauvais as Veronica Garland, Caleb Castille as Ron, and Christopher Meyer as Derek.
Tell Me a Story Season 1, which premiered in 2018, offered a grisly new view on three other famous fairy tales: The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel and Gretel.
Season 2 of Tell Me a Story premieres Thursday, Dec. 5 on CBS All Access.
