Taylor Swift might be one of the world's leading stars but she's still following Kim Kardashian and (reported) nemesis Katy Perry - in gaming, anyway.

Katy Perry tops Forbes highest-paid woman in music list, but where's Taylor Swift?

Both Kardashian and Perry have mobile games with Glu Mobile: Kim Kardashian, Hollywood and Katy Perry Pop, respectively. But now, Swift is out to grab her share of thumb action and data plans with her own game. Variety says Swift's game will debut sometime this year; no title was shared yet.

"We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience," Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi said in a statement.

With a massive social following (some 70.4 million Twitter followers and 64.8 million on Instagram) Swift will no doubt be looking to rake in money like Kardashian's game, which took in $43 million in its first three months. Maybe this will be the thing that lets her knock Perry off her perch on the Forbes list?
