Exclusive: The Talk to Air Post-Emmy Celebration Episode
Whether they win or lose at the Daytime Emmys this Sunday night, the ladies of The Talk are throwing themselves a party — and we're all invited! A rep for the CBS talk show tells TV Guide Magazine that the five hosts will be joined live in-studio on Monday, June 17 (2pm/1c/1p) by some of the biggest winners from the previous night's 40 annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Whether they win or lose at the Daytime Emmys this Sunday night, the ladies of The Talk are throwing themselves a party — and we're all invited! A rep for the CBS talk show tells TV Guide Magazine that the five hosts will be joined live in-studio on Monday, June 17 (2pm/1c/1p) by some of the biggest winners from the previous night's 40 annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
The rep also tells us the guest roster at this "after party" will not be limited to CBS winners, which means any top trophy-grabbers from the competing talk shows, as well as ABC's General Hospital and NBC's Days of Our Lives, will be warmly welcomed. (Can you imagine ABC's The View being this gracious? Uh, we can't.) Still, chances of a CBS blitz on Emmy night are pretty good considering the network leads with 51 nominations. The Talk is up for five awards, including Outstanding Daytime Talk Show, while CBS's two hit soaps, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful share a whopping 40 nominations between them. Both of CBS's game shows, The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal, scored nods for Outstanding Game Show.
The awards air live on cable channel HLN from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, June 16 (8/7c). In a first for the Daytime Emmys, fans can view the specific episodes each nominee submitted to the judges by going to HLNTV.com. So check 'em out — it just may help you win that Daytime Emmy pool!
