For the first time this season, Dick Wolf is smiling. His flagship Law & Order narrowly beat CSI: New York in the ratings on Wednesday. On the final night of sweeps, Law & Order averaged 14.7 million viewers to CSI: New York's 14.6 million viewers. Earlier in the night, the 40th-anniversary broadcast of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer attracted 15 million viewers and finished a strong second to ABC's red-hot Lost (17 million). Nick & Jessica's Family Christmas, meanwhile, pulled in an impressive 12.5 million cheese lovers at 9 pm/ET.
