Susan Lucci may be returning to her old stomping grounds on All My Children— at least that's what she told the ladies of The View, according to Huffington Post.

Lucci, who portrayed AMC's Erica Kane for 41 years, has not signed on to the online continuation of the long-running soap, but she hopes that will change before it's too late.

Production start date announced for All My Children and One Life to Live

"I so hope that I can return," she said. "I want with all my heart to return to All My Children. I just don't know the answer yet. But what I do know is that all of us — all of us — are working so hard to make that happen."

The Online Network, which will air new episodes of resurrected soaps All My Children and One Life to Live, recently announced that production on both will start on Feb. 25. When the shows return, each episode will also be cut in half — with a runtime of 30 minutes per episode. Fans will be able to watch episodes via Hulu or iTunes.

Despite having been off the air for more than a year each, both All My Children and One Life to Live have been able to lure back many familiar faces. Darnell Williams, Debbi Morgan, Vincent Irizarry, Lindsay Hartley, Jordi Vilasuso, Jill Larson and Thorsten Kaye are returning to All My Children. One Life to Live's cast will include series vets Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser, Tuc Watkins, Robert S. Woods, Kassie DePaiva, Jerry verDorn, Florencia Lozano, Melissa Archer, Hillary B. Smith, Kelley Missal, Josh Kelly, and Andrew Trischitta.
