After all, she was able to save her sister's plane and vanquish her first alien. Not bad for a lowly media assistant. Take a look:Ouch, Kara just got hashtagged!Jeremy Jordan, who plays Kara's pal Winn, tells TVGuide.com, "The fact is, you're dealing with these incredibly dangerous alien powers and people who are trying to basically destroy the planet, so that's going to catch up with you. It's one thing to save your sister and to have the exhilaration of having your first flight in years. But then you're going to make mistakes. There are going to be things that get in the way of all that. You have to focus on the bigger picture."A visit from Aunt Astra At the end of last week's episode, we found out that Astra (Laura Benanti), the twin sister of Kara's mom, was not only still alive, but was also her nemesis. How's that for a fractured family? Astra will return on Monday to see just how much little Kara has grown up. "In talking about Episode 2, it was really important to us to find someone not just as powerful physically to go up against Kara/Supergirl, but also someone emotionally that would really have the greatest conflict with her for that," executive producer Ali Adler says. "In finding her aunt, there is no greater fear, and no one can hit harder emotionally and physically than Astra."A creepy new alien While Kryptonians just seem to be humans with an upgrade; some aliens from the prison Fort Rozz are far more bizarre. Take, for example, this guy:"Let's not make the mistake that there are only Kryptonians on Fort Rozz," Adler says. "It's like the intergalactic alien penal colony. It was 12 years ago when Kara crashed, and all the prisoners that have escaped have made lives. They've all landed here, scattered on Earth. The DEO's job is to track them down. Some blend in and some have a harder time. We'll also have some very advanced technology." Not everyone associated with Fort Rozz, however, will necessarily be a criminal. "Like in any prison system, sometimes guilt is not the only reason we're in there," Adler says.A reluctant alliance As the only non-relatives in on Kara's secret, Winn and James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) will soon find themselves working together, despite their competing amorous feelings for the Girl of Steel. "In the early part of the season, you'll start to see this dynamic, which is very like fire and ice," Jordan says. "What happens when two people that have very completely different personalities and both want the same thing... are forced to be together?"
