Subway Splits with Jared Fogle Following Child Pornography Investigation

Jared Fogle, the Subway spokesperson who gained fame for losing nearly 250 pounds on what he called the "Subway diet," is the target of a child pornography investigation, The Associated Press reports.

FBI agents and Indiana State Police officers raided Fogle's home in Zionsville, Ind., on Tuesday morning and removed electronics from his house for analysis, according to the AP. Fogle was detained during the search, but had not been officially arrested as of Tuesday afternoon. Fogle's attorney said he "has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation ... and looks forward to its conclusion."

Tuesday afternoon Subway announced that they have suspended their relationship with Fogle due to the investigation.

A spokesperson for the company previously told the AP that the search is probably linked to an investigation into Russell Taylor, the former executive director of the Jared Foundation, Fogle's organization that works to combat childhood obesity. In April, Taylor, 43, was arrested and later charged with production and possession of child pornography. Taylor reportedly attempted suicide in his jail cell in May.

Subway is in the process of scrubbing Fogle and the "Jared's Journey" section from its website, TMZ reported Tuesday afternoon.
