You Don't Have to Wait to Watch Stephen Colbert's Our Cartoon President

The State of the Union just got animated

The inaugural episode of Stephen Colbert's new animated Showtime comedy Our Cartoon President has debuted.

"We are one year into this Presidency, and I think it's time to finally admit I am absolutely crushing it. These past few weeks alone, I have achieved headlines with words like 'porn star,' 'shithole,' and 'cognitive function,'" ToonTrump says to introduce the new series.

Kicking things off on a timely note, the substance of the first episode centers on Trump's preparation of his first "State of the Union" address, which is due to air on Tuesday, January 30th. But issues like his historically low approval rating (and dismissal of any talk thereof as "fake news" while savoring every syllable of Fox and Friends), his distaste for the national bird, and the generals' attempts to rein in his war-waging impulses could stand in the way of a successful SOTU delivery.

The series also introduces several other figures of intrigue from the White House including Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Chief of Staff John Kelly, HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and more.

Perhaps the funniest bit comes when Don Jr. and Eric Trump visit Hannity to not talk about the Russian election interference probe ... and proceed to talk about the Russian election interference probe.
