Stargate SG-1 Fans: The Truth Is Out There (in March)

Fans of Stargate SG-1 will get the long-awaited series' finale on March 11, 2008, when MGM Home Entertainment releases Stargate: The Ark of Truth. "We wanted to end the show without really ending it," says the movie's writer/director/producer Robert C. Cooper. "Even if the series is no longer on Sci Fi [Channel], we want it to continue, so we decided to make a movie that wraps up a lot of the big loose ends." The DVD (suggested retail price is $26.98), which winds up the war between Stargate and the world-gobbling Ori, includes commentary by Christopher Judge (Teal'c) and Cooper, as well as a featurette. A second movie is due out on DVD later in '08. — Ileane Rudolph
