Jake Lloyd, the actor who played young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode 1 -The Phantom Menace, was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase in South Carolina this week, The Associated Press reports.

Lloyd, 26, was charged with failing to stop for officers and reckless driving. Police say he was going at a clip of more than 100 miles per hour.

The chase, which occurred on Wednesday, spanned more than 25 miles before Lloyd's vehicle plowed through a fence off of Interstate 95 and came to a rest after hitting several trees at the dead end of a frontage road parallel to the highway.

Lloyd, who hasn't acted since 2005, told police his name was Jake Broadbent and remained in jail on bond as of Sunday afternoon, according to the AP.
