J.J. Abrams knows who Rey's parents are, but it's a tightly held secret that he's not giving up.

He did spill, however, who her parents aren't at the Tribeca Film Festival Friday. A fan asked the question during an audience Q&A, and after Abrams jokingly told the inquisitive fan to get out, he did drop a big clue about Rey's mom and dad.

10 Things We Learned From the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Global Press Conference

"Rey's parents are not in Episode VII. So I can't possibly say in this moment who they are. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too."

That seems to conflict the popular theory that Rey could be Luke's daughter or the child of his sister Leia and possibly Han Solo, making her Kylo Ren's sibling.

As to be expected, Abrams won't give up any goods, saying he respected Entertainment Weekly after the Q&A, ""What I meant was that she doesn't discover them in Episode VII. Not that they may not already be in her world."

Do you have ideas on who her folks might be?
