That wacky grade-school quartet of South Park will be stirring up trouble for at least three more seasons. MMM-kay?
That means the Peabody- and Emmy-winning series will be on the air through 2016 and reach its 20th season.
Parker and Stone — who tackle topical humor with the best on television — will continue to write, direct and edit each episode, just as they have since the series started in 1997.
"The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds," Comedy Central President Michele Ganeless said. "Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans ... We're thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016."
For their part, Parker and Stone said: "South Park is a blast and we can't wait to make more."
Just earlier this year, the show was renewed through 2013. And this latest news puts the kibosh on any rumors the duo would give up the show — especially in light of their Broadway hit The Book of Mormon, which won nine Tonys including Best Musical in June.
