Filming has hit a snag on the third season of MTV's Jersey Shore spin-off Snooki & JWoww, thanks to the wrath of some residents who don't appreciate having the reality show in their neighborhood.

About a dozen residents in Berkeley Township have hired a lawyer to challenge the use of a home on Pelican Island for a business purpose — a.k.a. as a setting for the show, the Asbury Park Press reports.

"This is in a residential zone and use of it is very restrictive," attorney Ron Gasirowski told the paper. The Township Council is also looking into getting a film permit ordinance, according to the report.

Residents said they are concerned about additional traffic in the area as some homes are undergoing renovations. MTV never contacted the township to request permission to film there, the Press reports.

Stars Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi reacted harshly to the concerns via Twitter. " Laughing so hard over these reports @snooki ... Who would've thought 2 girls can piss so many people off #embracethehaters," Farley tweeted this week.

Added Snooki: "If my 'actions' like playing with my son is bringing the wrong 'crowd,' obviously we are on too (sic) different pages here."
