Blake Shelton pulled double duty on Saturday Night Livethis weekend as both host and musical guest. Among the highlights: A Hee Haw-style opening monologue, and a Family Feud sketch pitting The Voice, which features Shelton as a judge, against singing competition juggernaut American Idol. The show also addressed the New England Patriots' "deflategate" scandal in its second solid cold open in a row.

The best SNL cast members of all time, ranked

Check out highlights from below:

Patriots press conference cold open: Patriots coach Bill Belichick (Beck Bennett) and quarterback Tom Brady (Taran Killam) field questions about whether or not the team intentionally deflated the footballs used in the AFC championship game.

Blake Shelton's opening monologue: The SNL cast gets a lesson in country humor from Shelton. Leslie Jones is not a fan.

Farm Hunk: Check out the new reality show Farm Hunk, in which a group of women compete to win the heart of a farmer (Shelton).

Wishin' Boot: It's no "Back Home Baller," but "Wishin' Boot" is a pretty catchy tune as far as SNL originals go. The music video features Shelton, Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon.

Celebrity Family Feud: Music competition powerhouses The Voice and American Idol face off in Celebrity Family Feud. Though the sketch is more chuckle-inducing than laugh-out-loud funny, Kate McKinnon's impression of Keith Urban proves she can do no wrong.
