SICK OF AWARDS YET?

Me, too. But I make a funny joke in this item, so keep reading anyway. Ahem... not only has the National Society of Film Critics named Capote the best movie of the year, it's hailed the biopic's star, Philip Seymour Hoffman, the swellest actor. Other winners included Walk the Line's Reese Witherspoon (outstanding actress), Ed Harris (greatest supporting actor) and Junebug's Amy Adams (rootin'-tootinest supporting actress). A History of Violence helmer David Cronenberg was celebrated as the most wicked-awesome director, and Noah Baumbach's The Squid and the Whale swam away with the peachy-keenest screenplay honors. And me? I have a new respect for critics. Coming up with superlatives is, like, hard.
