Showtime has given a pilot order to Billions, from New York Times journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin, the network announced Thursday.
The fictional drama focuses on the collision and, at times, collusion between an aggressive U.S. attorney in New York and some of the richest hedge fund billionaires in the country.
Billions, which marks Showtime's first pilot pick-up for Showtime this year, is written and executive-produced by Sorkin (Too Big to Fail), and Ocean's Thirteen writers Brian Koppelman and David Levien.
