First Look: Shirley Jones Guests on General Hospital

Oscar winner and sitcom icon Shirley Jones — yep, Mama Partridge herself — will guest star on General Hospital Feb. 5 as Mrs. McClain, a lonely widow who sees something strange and disconcerting while visiting her husband's grave.

A rep for the ABC soap tells TV Guide Magazine exclusively that Mrs. McLain "comes across a suspicious gravedigger late one night at the cemetery and takes her suspicions to Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] at the PCPD, thinking this might have something to do with the fugitive the police are looking for."
Hmmm...could that gravedigger be on-the-lam nutcase Heather Webber [Robin Mattson]? Does Mrs. McClain hold the cards to solving the mysterious disappearance of Carly Jacks [Laura Wright]?
This isn't Jones' first dip in the suds, by the way. Back in 2008, the actress played Irish matriarch Colleen Brady on several episodes of NBC's Days of Our Lives.
