Seth MacFarlane has long been a household name, thanks to Family Guy, Ted and his WesternA Million Ways to Die in the West. He's still racking up firsts though, as Fox announced Wednesday it's launching a new series that features him in his first live-action television role.

MacFarlane will create, executive produce and star in a 13-episode hour long series from MacFarlane, "a comedy drama" set 300 years in the future. It will center on the crew of a space exploratory ship named Orville that "faces cosmic dramas" as they go "where no comedy drama has gone before."

The series is being prepped for a 2017-2018 television season launch. Do you want to watch?
